We met our kids Alex and Khristian. They are part of the Native American
Scholars program we volunteered as mentors in. They are our kids-we are
mentoring them to stay in school and take them out to movies, the zoo
where ever we decide to go. Of course Mom has to be okay with it, and
the kids have a curfew so it all works out. We are pretty excited! I need to get the van ready for our first outing-I was hoping for warmer temps. It may wait until after
Hertzkreig.

We are going to Hertzkreig and I want to make it out to Ides of March. I
am not sure if DH can get the time off work to go or not so we will wait
and see if he can see everyone. He will be coming to Hertzkreig too and
he wants to set up to sell for part of the day. I figure that is on
him-we go for the fellowship but we didn't sell hardly at all last year
so it will be nice to get the stuff out and dust it all off from Cecil's
last year.

I am trying to get the girls from work to come out Feb 26th to Misty
Glen community center to teach or just work on their projects. It would
be a good central place to meet and work on stuff with new people and
old. The main thing is projects are getting done and maybe some new SCA
people will pop up. They have a coffee maker so it will kind of be like
meeting in a coffee shop like we usually do.

I finished Meghan's prayer shawl and had it blessed so I just need to
get that to her. I also finished Grace's scarf and had that blessed as
well. I need to work on a new scarf for me since mine disappeared. I
picked out a really nice blue that will go well with my coat and eyes.
Anne made me a cool green and purple hat-very nice! I plan on sitting
down at Hertzkreig and casting on with Anne sitting there so she can
make sure I am doing it right. Then call her when it is time to decrease
the stitches.

DH is still getting used to my new schedule. He is super flexible so we
still get to see each other. Otherwise he would be sleeping while I was
up and I would be sleeping when he was up. It is really nice to be able
to go out and do stuff together on Saturday and Church on Sunday. Monday
I work and he tries to get back on a night schedule. Tuesday he goes
back for 1/2 the night then he is back to his normal nights. I am sure
we will try and do more stuff on Saturday with the kids.

We saw Legion and DH says it is the worst movie he has ever seen. I
don't think it was all that bad. Dennis Quaid really brought it down
with bad acting DH thinks but that was just a small part of the big
stinky. Nothing is out that we need to see right now. I want to catch up
on Castle-DH gave me discs he had copied so I can watch it. YAY!!
